Man in Cap with High Brows and Large Ears, Wonderfully Carved Old Folk Art Knife HandleI know from collector in whose amazing collection of folk and outsider art this carving lived in for many years that it was made as a handle for a knife, and one can tell that his head served as a good grip! African American, earlier 20th century, I believe he looks a bit Harlem Renaissance era to me. With large ears to take in everything around him, and highly arching eyebrows that suggest he might be hearing to a tall tale, and perhaps preparing to
