Faeries' Aire and Death WaltzA new and original work for symphonic wind band from composer Philip Howie. From the first notes of the opening solo, the piece evokes faery dances and the mysteries of the fey folk. Three themes are introduced by the glockenspiel, bass instruments and alto saxophone and then combined as the dance whirls around the listener in an energetic climax.
