Face of Stone, Scoresbysund, GreenlandScoresbysund is about as remote as Greenland gets, which is saying something. This rock face rises straight out of the fjord system, hundreds of metres of sheer granite disappearing into low cloud. The scale is difficult to convey. What looks like a minor outcrop at the base is itself a substantial formation. The conditions were overcast and damp, with mist wrapping around the upper walls and diffuse light picking out every streak of moisture and
